Memorial Weekend

My youngest cousin on my mom's side graduated from Pagosa Springs High School  Memorial Day Weekend. Yay Shea!!! It was also going to be John's only three day weekend off for the summer so we really wanted to cram in as much fun as possible! So we hooked up to the camper and headed over the hill!!!

Saturday morning was her graduation. I went there while John and Blake went to set up camp. They picked a super perfect spot (if the wind hadn't have blown freezing cold). After the graduation we met up with family at a brewery for some grub then headed back out to were we camped to help set up my parents camper. It worked out great that they were able to camp with us! Me being 37 weeks pregnant at the time might have gone into labor having to chase Blake around by myself the whole weekend, so thankful for Mama Bobbie!!! Shea's graduation party was that evening at my Aunt Lvonne and Uncle Terry's house outside of Pagosa so we headed there and had a blast! We ate some burgers and brauts and roasted some marshmallows! Blake even gave dancing a shot! He is just like his daddy, could careless about dancing! I am a horrible mom and forgot all of Blake's lovies! AHHHH!!! He sleeps with his Pooh Bear, a McQueen blankie and a little bunny! So needless to say getting him to sleep that night was a bit of challange. But after about 30 minutes of whiny and a bit of crying he was out all night long :) The camper treated us well!

Our 1988 camper that we got a heck of a deal on from one of John's family members. We love it, just what we were looking for!!!
Blake loved playing in my parents pop up camper!
 Beggin' a ride!

I love these kids!! They were chowing down on all the chips in this picture!

Blake saw everyone else dancing so he thought he better give it a try. He was so cute out there :)

About to fall asleep from all the partying but he had to roast the HUGE marshmallows that we brought!

This picture is not flattering by any means but you know what.....it is me 37 weeks pregnant and it will be fun to look back and see that big ol belly!! Plus the scenery behind us is beautiful, right?
Crashed on the way back to camp after the party!
How sweet is this picture!!! He found a good sitting rock to watch Daddy ride around on his "cycle"!
"Fixin cycle"
Oliver thought it was hilarious to compare my belly to a watermelon!
Dad loading his 12 foot roasting stick.

Blake pretty much wanted nothing to do with me that weekend. He just wanted his Mama. This is them trying to cuddle and nap.

On Monday, Oliver came back out to camp to go on a ride with the guys while Mom, Blake and I went to my sister's house to shower and hang out with her and the kids. Her baby Amon was almost 3 weeks old then so it was fun to get some baby snuggles in while Blake played with his cousins. I love that they are so close! Once all the dirt clotted guys were back from getting thier butts kicked by motorcycles we all went out and enjoyed so mexican food!

The doughnut holes fell on the floor and before I could start picking them up Blake was shoving them in his little mouth! Little stinker!
 Sittin' with Mama during breakfast.

Sunday we went back to my Aunt's for breakfast to say good bye to family that had to head home. We got back to the camper about 11:00 so Dad, John and my brother Chet could go for a dirt bike ride. They headed out and mom and I hid in the camper, the wind was just no fun to sit out in.  I love seeing the smile John gets on his face (before he puts his helmet on of course :) when he is getting ready to go ride.  It makes me happy when he is happy!!! That evening my sister DeEtte and her family came out to our camp along with my Aunt Lvonne and her family to have some steak dinner on the fire!!! YUMMY! It was DeEtte and Oliver's 7th anniversary! Gosh, time sure does fly!! John and I met about two months before their wedding.

My mom is such a super duper Grandma!! Here is proof! She is pushing two grandkids on the swing while holding another!
Crashed at the end of the long weekend. He slept almost the whole way through our Mexican dinner also!

John and I drove home that night so thankful we were able to have such an awesome weekend. We loved every bit of it! It was a great way to spend some last precious moments with Blake before the baby is here!!!

Look what I made, Mom!!!

Burp rags for my sister

 Rag quilt for Blake
Burp rags for baby Anderson, whom we get to meet in one week!!!!!!!!! Blake was a crazy spitter upper so I am prepared this time around to have my stock of cute diapers to catch it all in.
Super proud of this diaper bag!!! There is a zipper on the back side and it was my first time putting a zipper in and it looks perfect, if I do say so myself!!
I recovered the carseat we had for Blake so baby can stain it all over again :) I can't wait to bring home a baby in this thing!!!!!
John's mom gave me her old comforter which is a king size but we have a queen bed. I wanted the king because it seems like a queen never covers good enough for me.  I made a new duvet cover for my bed! I love love love how this turned out!

My sister and I took a quick 3 day trip to Tucson to visit my cousin and her new baby girl, Millie back in January. I couldn't go empty handed so I whipped up this sweet little rag quilt in a day so that i could snuggle her in it when we got there :)
My aunt and uncle gave us this carseat when we had Blake and we used it as an extra for John's truck. When I decided to recover the Graco carseat I decided that I should do this one first just incase I messed up, at least it was just our back up carseat. It came out so good I couldn't wait to do the other one!!!!!

This is how I keep myself sane, along with exercise, while taking care of all the kiddos that I watch!!! I love my sewing machine and I am so thankful to know how to use it!! I have made other random things around the house also but I either can't remember what they are or didn't get the camera out to take pictures!
