Thankful Blake

For awhile now Blake has been randomly thanking us for different things that pop into his sweet little head. He thanks me for taking him to the store to buy food. He thanks us for church. He thanks us for yogurt. Mr. Blake is very random with his thankfulness. They always come out of nowhere and we really have to think about when and what he is talking about.

Blake spent about an hour and a half this afternoon on the tractor with John. John drives the grain cart during barley harvest and his Uncle Keith drives the combine (which Blake is obsessed with). Well, this evening John left to go to a motorcycle race in New Mexico for the weekend and as he was telling Blakey good-bye he said, "Thanks Daddy for the tractor and combine!" It almost made me cry...I love that he is thankful the the simple things in life :)

Belly and Baby

A friend of mine took some pictures of me when I was 36 weeks pregnant and then she took some of Trever when he was 5 days old. Thanks Kathy for capturing these sweet memories for us!

WOW!!!

Being a mom is hard work. Being a mom to one child is hard work. Being a mom to two kids is HARD work!!!! Having Trever join our family has completely rocked my world! All I can seem to get done around here are the same chores over and over and over again every single day. I can't seem to find time to make our meal menus or even a simple grocery list. It is not like me to be this unorganized and it is driving me nuts. Do I like being a mom? You bet ya!! Would I trade it for anything in the world? No way!! But WOW, it is a lot of work. God only gives us what we can handle right? Well, I sure hope he gives me more sleep because I could sure handle some of that right about now!! ;)

Busted!!

First of all I have to say that John has trained Blake to pee outside rather in the potty....So, Blake will put on his little cowboy boots and head out the door. Also, Blake doesn't like to pull up his undies and shorts. He would much rather just kick them off and run around with just his shirt on. So one day Blake informed me that he was "goin ta pee owside". When he didn't come back in after a minute or two I went to investigate and this is what I found.
Hard to see but his boots are laying perfectly in the legs of his little shorts:)

Some Summer Adventures!

We haven't done anything too crazy this summer because of the new little man but we have had some visitors and spent some quality time with them and our little family. I am just going to post a ton of pictures now and let you check out our summer so far :) ENJOY!!

We went to the Sand Dunes when my Uncle Mike and Aunt Sandra came to visit. There was no water :( so my mom helped Blake dig a hole to try and find some. Looks like Blake ended up in the hole.
