Memorial Weekend

My youngest cousin on my mom's side graduated from Pagosa Springs High School  Memorial Day Weekend. Yay Shea!!! It was also going to be John's only three day weekend off for the summer so we really wanted to cram in as much fun as possible! So we hooked up to the camper and headed over the hill!!!

Saturday morning was her graduation. I went there while John and Blake went to set up camp. They picked a super perfect spot (if the wind hadn't have blown freezing cold). After the graduation we met up with family at a brewery for some grub then headed back out to were we camped to help set up my parents camper. It worked out great that they were able to camp with us! Me being 37 weeks pregnant at the time might have gone into labor having to chase Blake around by myself the whole weekend, so thankful for Mama Bobbie!!! Shea's graduation party was that evening at my Aunt Lvonne and Uncle Terry's house outside of Pagosa so we headed there and had a blast! We ate some burgers and brauts and roasted some marshmallows! Blake even gave dancing a shot! He is just like his daddy, could careless about dancing! I am a horrible mom and forgot all of Blake's lovies! AHHHH!!! He sleeps with his Pooh Bear, a McQueen blankie and a little bunny! So needless to say getting him to sleep that night was a bit of challange. But after about 30 minutes of whiny and a bit of crying he was out all night long :) The camper treated us well!

Our 1988 camper that we got a heck of a deal on from one of John's family members. We love it, just what we were looking for!!!
Blake loved playing in my parents pop up camper!
 Beggin' a ride!

I love these kids!! They were chowing down on all the chips in this picture!

Blake saw everyone else dancing so he thought he better give it a try. He was so cute out there :)

About to fall asleep from all the partying but he had to roast the HUGE marshmallows that we brought!

This picture is not flattering by any means but you know what.....it is me 37 weeks pregnant and it will be fun to look back and see that big ol belly!! Plus the scenery behind us is beautiful, right?
Crashed on the way back to camp after the party!
How sweet is this picture!!! He found a good sitting rock to watch Daddy ride around on his "cycle"!
"Fixin cycle"
Oliver thought it was hilarious to compare my belly to a watermelon!
Dad loading his 12 foot roasting stick.

Blake pretty much wanted nothing to do with me that weekend. He just wanted his Mama. This is them trying to cuddle and nap.

On Monday, Oliver came back out to camp to go on a ride with the guys while Mom, Blake and I went to my sister's house to shower and hang out with her and the kids. Her baby Amon was almost 3 weeks old then so it was fun to get some baby snuggles in while Blake played with his cousins. I love that they are so close! Once all the dirt clotted guys were back from getting thier butts kicked by motorcycles we all went out and enjoyed so mexican food!

The doughnut holes fell on the floor and before I could start picking them up Blake was shoving them in his little mouth! Little stinker!
 Sittin' with Mama during breakfast.

Sunday we went back to my Aunt's for breakfast to say good bye to family that had to head home. We got back to the camper about 11:00 so Dad, John and my brother Chet could go for a dirt bike ride. They headed out and mom and I hid in the camper, the wind was just no fun to sit out in.  I love seeing the smile John gets on his face (before he puts his helmet on of course :) when he is getting ready to go ride.  It makes me happy when he is happy!!! That evening my sister DeEtte and her family came out to our camp along with my Aunt Lvonne and her family to have some steak dinner on the fire!!! YUMMY! It was DeEtte and Oliver's 7th anniversary! Gosh, time sure does fly!! John and I met about two months before their wedding.

My mom is such a super duper Grandma!! Here is proof! She is pushing two grandkids on the swing while holding another!
Crashed at the end of the long weekend. He slept almost the whole way through our Mexican dinner also!

John and I drove home that night so thankful we were able to have such an awesome weekend. We loved every bit of it! It was a great way to spend some last precious moments with Blake before the baby is here!!!

Look what I made, Mom!!!

Burp rags for my sister

 Rag quilt for Blake
Burp rags for baby Anderson, whom we get to meet in one week!!!!!!!!! Blake was a crazy spitter upper so I am prepared this time around to have my stock of cute diapers to catch it all in.
Super proud of this diaper bag!!! There is a zipper on the back side and it was my first time putting a zipper in and it looks perfect, if I do say so myself!!
I recovered the carseat we had for Blake so baby can stain it all over again :) I can't wait to bring home a baby in this thing!!!!!
John's mom gave me her old comforter which is a king size but we have a queen bed. I wanted the king because it seems like a queen never covers good enough for me.  I made a new duvet cover for my bed! I love love love how this turned out!

My sister and I took a quick 3 day trip to Tucson to visit my cousin and her new baby girl, Millie back in January. I couldn't go empty handed so I whipped up this sweet little rag quilt in a day so that i could snuggle her in it when we got there :)
My aunt and uncle gave us this carseat when we had Blake and we used it as an extra for John's truck. When I decided to recover the Graco carseat I decided that I should do this one first just incase I messed up, at least it was just our back up carseat. It came out so good I couldn't wait to do the other one!!!!!

This is how I keep myself sane, along with exercise, while taking care of all the kiddos that I watch!!! I love my sewing machine and I am so thankful to know how to use it!! I have made other random things around the house also but I either can't remember what they are or didn't get the camera out to take pictures!

The last days!!!

I have been having a really hard time emotionally these last days of this pregnancy. I am sad that Blake won't be my baby anymore. We have been catching him climb EVERYTHING, which makes me realize he is growing up. I told him the other night, when we found him climbing up into the attic on the scary ladder like the one on Toy Story 3, "Good thing Mommy is having another baby because you are such a big boy!!" In which he replied, "YEP!!" I have enjoyed every bit of the last 2.5 years of this little boys life. Some days have been very trying to say the least! But I have told myself from the day I had him that I would cherish every single moment with this child, good and bad moments, because at any minute he could not be with me anymore! So I have enjoyed every late night feeding, every diaper change, every teething issue, every fit, every mess he has made, every run I take with him (even though lots of them I would rather be out on my own) every new word he learns.....I love this kids so much it hurts! He is my little buddy and always will be :)

I am getting a little nervous for my c-section. Since this will be my second I know more what to expect but I am not looking forward to the recovery. With Blake it took me about 4 months to feel completely normal and able to do workouts all the way without feeling like my stomach was ripping apart.  I will be 37 weeks on Friday and I stopped going to spin class when I was 35 weeks. I decided it was time to slow down a bit before I had a baby at the gym. I am still going to yoga 2 days a week though. And it really makes me sad thinking about not being able to go while I am recovering :( I love the way it makes me feel both physically and mentally. It is a much needed "Jonna" time that I need in order to stay sain! Hopefully since I have stayed in ten times better shape this pregnancy then my recovery will be ten times better and I can get back on the boat soon!!! Somedays I feel like I would like to just stay pregnant so that I don't have to take time off! Silly I know!!

I am starting to get a little nervous about how John and I are going to mesh with having two kids. We have an awesome marriage. Growing up I never would have imagined that I would be blessed with such an awesome guy! But when it comes to getting out of the house on time, which is a huge pet peeve of mine, John, well, ok I will just say it, HE SUCKS at it!! Drives me batty!!! Hopefully we get this timing thing down in a hurry so that we don't have too many little fueds ;)

I am so excited to find out if there is a little boy or little girl in my belly!! It was so much fun when our Blakey was born to just sit and stare at this new little being that we knew absolutely nothing about! We picked out each little detail. Who's ears, nose, mouth, toes, fingers and eyes he had! I can't wait to do that with this baby also!! BUT as I sit here and type this this baby is going nuts rolling, kicking and hiccupping in my tummy! I am really going to miss that! I don't remember feeling this sad about not being pregnant with Blake. I just remember wanting it over, mostly because I was so sick and in pain I think. John has said many many times that we are only having two kids so I think that is were these emotions are coming from. Thinking about this being the last kicks, rolls and hiccups I will ever feel inside of me makes me sad. Growing a baby inside of you is such a special thing! God is so good!!!

Ok enough blabbing! I am off to go read a book to a special little guy and tuck him into bed.

35 Weeks!!!

We went to our consultation with the doctor that will be doing my c-section last week. We absolutely love her! She is just what I was looking for!!!  The doctor that I have been seeing is just a family practice so he can't do the surgery. Dr. Silva (my doctor) will be there to assist with the surgery and we have requested him to be the baby's doctor also so it is gonna be perfect. My official delivery day is June 9th!!!!! I have been counting down every day!!!

I am still feeling pretty good. I am starting to get a crazy backache in the evenings but who wouldn't when they are chasing kids all day and not to mention carrying around 35 extra pounds!!! My hands and feet are swollen :(:(:( which obviously makes me super sad. I am blaming that on the heat, being on my feet all day, and nearing the end of my pregnancy. Other than that I am still feeling super!!! Looking forward to meeting this baby in my belly and everyday I wonder if we are going to use our girl name or boy name!!!!

Amon Wheeler Phillips

My sister was blessed with another sweet baby boy last Tuesday in the wee hours of the morning. Blake and I made the trip over today to meet the new little man! Oh, I couldn't wait to give Mr. Amon some snuggles. There is just something about the sweet baby smell that just gets ya!!! I got to take a little snooze on the couch with him for a little bit too:) Hadley and Weston sure are enjoying loving on the Amon also! My sister is such a good Momma! She inspires me to be a better mom, wife and person!!! CONGRATULATIONS PHILLIPS FAMILY!!!

 What a beautiful family!!!

COUSINS!!! In one month there will be FIVE :)

Mother's Day!!!!

I still can't believe that I am a MOM!!!! WHAT!?!?! I truely feel blessed to be apart of this catagory of life. My mom was such a great example for my sister and I growing up and taught us how to be the moms and wives we are today! I have also been super blessed with a wonderful mother in law and grandmother in laws!!!
We started out Mother's Day with a wonderful church service!! I wanted to go buy some flowers for our yard so we stopped by the good ol Wal-Mart and did a little shopping. Silly Blakey knows that there is a Subway in Wal-Mart and begged the whole time to eat. This momma can't pass up a good sub sandwich so of course we chowed down. When we got home Blake and I laid down for our traditional Sunday afternoon naps and my wonderful John worked in the yard!!! YAY for him :) He made it look like someone actually lives here. Poor guy has been so busy with work that the yard has been neglected. When Blake woke up he went out and helped Daddy!!
My family went to Pagosa Springs for the day to spend the day with my moms sister and her family, my Grandma Sue and Glenpa, and my sister and her family. It is always hard for me to be away from my family for any sort of holiday. We feel super blessed to live only a mile and a half from Johns grandma Martha. We had bought her a potted plant and decided to take it over and visit once John was done fiddling outside. We had a wonderful visit with her then came home and had breakfast for dinner! YUMMY :) :) :)
My boy and my belly :)

Helping Daddy get the yard all cleanned up!

Carrying Grandma's gift! What a big boy!!

Blake loves going to "Mama's" house!!

Being a mother is the one of the absolute best things that could have ever happened to me.

He is alive!!!

We had a wonderful Easter this year!! Friday evening Blake helped me make cookies. Saturday we dyed eggs. Sunday we took John's Grandma Martha to church with us and then met up with Uncle Art, Aunt Amy, Ryan, Kamryn and Uncle Keith (we missed Aunt Laurie) for some yummy brunch at the golf course.  We came home and took naps and searched for Easter eggs. I love my little family!!
Munching or should I say chowing down on cookie dough!

I even made myself sick on cookie dough that night :(
Let me know if you ever need a professional cookie cutter outer!!! I will send him right over!

John and I got lots of giggles out of Blakes egg dying skills! He would just throw the eggs in cups!

 The "Blake" egg!
He found his Easter basket right away the next morning and I hardly got a chance to snap a picture before he had that basket emptied and all the chocolate was being devoured! (at 8:00am) How did he know there was that kind of goodness in the eggs??
Sorry this picture isn't very centered....we did a self timer on the lawn chair :) I love these boys!!!
