The Anderson Family Vacation...aka....FLORIDA!!!

For Christmas last year John's parents gave all nine of their kids a great gift! They rented a beach house in St. Augustine, FL and we all met down there in May!! So much fun! I can't even begin to explain how refreshing it was to be away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! John had a great time hanging out with his five brothers! We were about a minute away from the beach and totally took advantage of it :) I am warning you, this is going to be a picture overload!! I loved every bit of our getaway and want to share it with you!

Trever took good naps on the beach. I would walk around out in the water with him until he fell asleep then lay him under the umbrella and he was in baby heaven!

We visited an old fort. Blake wasn't too sure about these guys. Didn't want to have much to do with them.

Blake was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a sweet princess at the top of the "castle"!

Trever decided getting up early was a great idea....I am glad he made me get up too. We went and watched the sunrise and dolphins play!! Made my day!!

Mama Sandy got lots of relaxing and reading done! So happy for her :)

John and I snuck out for a date since we had babysitters :) We went to Ripley's. It was super expensive to get in and not worth the money but there were some pretty cool things in there!!

We went to a dolphin sanctuary. Blake wanted to swim with them really bad...too bad he can't swim and I wasn't going to pay $225 for 30 minutes of fun....what a lame mom I am!!

stop staring at the teeth!

Girls day!!! We went shopping in the little town square that was way cute and had some super yummy gelato!! Mmm I can still take that pink grapefruit!

This restaurant was out on the water and had little trap doors at all the tables so you could feed them scraps. It was a great way to keep the kids busy!

So pretty! We went deep sea fishing. I have always wanted to do this!! Unfortunately I think this was my last time :( The rocking ocean did not like my tummy at all. I didn't get to fish one time...instead I threw up the whole time!! Poor poor me!

Mother's Day!

I love being a mom!!! I was talking to John on Sunday about how somedays I am going on doing my daily mom duties and I just have this overwhelming numbness feeling flood my body. It's like all of the sudden I stop and all of my blessings just hit me! I couldn't ask for anything more! I never ever ever thought when I was younger that I would have a husband that treats me like John does, lets me know that he loves through his words and actions. And because I am so blessed with him we are blessed with our two boys! I think daily they teach me more than I can ever imagine. I have always been the kind of person that wants it and I want it NOW!!! Well, having these two boys is teaching me that having anything now is just not possible. I want the whining to stop NOW, that's not happenig, I am learning to be patient and take a deep breath and hug instead of worry about it. I want to have a great body NOW, that's not happening either. I am doing my best to stay focused on being healthy and active and teaching my boys the same. And every time I look at my stretch marks and extra skin I just say to myself, if you didn't have this body then you wouldn't have these sweet boys. Nobody can explain to you how much you are going to love your kids before you have them! I knew they would be lots of work, but this much work? Wow!! Being a mom is such a strange job! It is sooooo hard but soooooo rewarding! I love my kids so much! I hope all you moms out there had a great mother's day and took a second to look at all of your blessings!!!

Fresh spring air!

A couple of weeks ago we were sitting around bored on a Saturday. We decided to pack a lunch and head to Zapata Falls for a little family hike.

Having some string cheese.  This was his first back pack trip. He did great. Although the hike is only a total of a mile :)

I am pretty sure he was day dreaming about the day he can hike like a big boy.

Time to get sappy :) I love watching my boys hold Daddy's fingers! Something about him guiding them and showing them the way like our Savior does for us. I pray that John and the boys continue to have a great relationship for the rest of their days!!

WeBe Racing

About a month ago John raced and endurocross race in Farmington, NM. We left Trever with my sister and picked up her two big kids and took them with us. It was lots of fun. Blake loves his cousins so much! I can't remember now how John did in his race but it was a good time.

I was trying to read...It was so nice to not have a baby tagging along for two whole days so I tried to get in as much reading as I could. Sad to say that I haven't picked up the book since :(

It was so cold and windy but the kids still wanted to roast marshmallows.

It was so bright and sunny but man that wind was soooo cold!! Hadley and Blake wrapped up in big ol coats to drink hot cocoa.

AND that is my love!!! Something about watching my man doing what he loves just makes me fall in love with him more and more! And of course the "uniform" adds to that :) something about a guy in uniform (of any type!)

lots and lots of motorcycles!

So there was this crazy hill climb on the course that John was very excited about.....we watched John go up and I started snapping pictures hoping that I could get a good one.....not knowing that I was going to take a picture of him at the bottom of a dog pile of motorcycles!! Not something I want to watch again. Thank the good Lord he was fine, just had some sore muscles for about a week!

Watching racing is so tiring!

Phew! Second lap there was no crash, he made it up!!
